Do guests have full access to the aquarium during the wedding?

Guests typically have access to many of the aquarium’s exhibit areas, so they can walk through and explore marine life up close. Access can vary slightly depending on the event setup, but the experience is designed so guests aren’t just sitting at tables, they’re actively enjoying the aquarium. For evening events, some of the outdoor animals are brought inside for the night, so you won’t have access to those habitats.

Are there specific photo opportunities inside the aquarium?

Yes, there are several standout photo spots couples love, including inside the shark tunnel before the 120,000 gallon shark habitat, in front of the Coral Reef habitat and with the large indoor waterfall. These backdrops create dramatic, one-of-a-kind wedding photos you can’t get at a traditional venue. We also offer unique photo opportunities with a Penguin, a Sea Lion and in our always tropical, indoor Butterfly Garden.

Does the aquarium setting change the feel of the reception at night?

It does. As the evening goes on, the lighting from the tanks and exhibits creates a darker, more ambient atmosphere compared to daytime events. The glow from the water and marine life adds a unique mood that feels more immersive and intimate.
