FAQs
What is the Sea Lion Stadium typically used for?
The Sea Lion Stadium is a large, open-air space within the Long Island Aquarium that’s primarily used for Sea Lion Shows and training sessions. While it’s not a traditional wedding venue, some couples do choose to hold their ceremony here for a truly unique setting. It’s also the location for one-of-a-kind wedding photos featuring the Aquarium’s lovable Sea Lions.
What makes the Sea Lion Stadium unique compared to other event spaces?
What sets it apart is the experience. The stadium-style seating overlooks the sea lion habitat, allowing guests to enjoy a glimpse of the animals. Wedding photos with the sea lions is a memorable option that you won’t find at any traditional venue.
How many guests can the Sea Lion Stadium accommodate?
The Sea Lion Stadium can accommodate large groups, with seating for up to around 500 guests in a theater-style layout. While it’s typically used for presentations or group events, the space can also be adapted for unique ceremony setups or large gatherings that benefit from an audience-style arrangement.
